Frequently Asked Questions
Camper FAQ
Camper Essentials 101
Here we will answer some questions your camper may have about camp.
What should I bring to camp?
At Camp Indian Springs we provide everything a camper could need. If your camper feels more comfortable with certain items, we recommend packing them in a backpack. Some great items to bring include: a water bottle, extra pair of socks (for field trips), a towel (for naps or water activities) and any medicines your child may require.
If I have a friend at camp can we be in the same group?
Absolutely, we love matching friends in the same group! On your first day of camp just let us know the name of your friend and we will be sure you share the same group.
When will we go on field trips?
Field trips are a fun part of camp! Every group will go on at least one field trip per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
Parent FAQ
Parent Essentials 101
Some questions you may have about your child's experience.
What is the counselor to camper ratio at CIS?
We try and keep our counselor to camper ratio at 1:8. We also have staff members who oversee each group and remain engaged in group activities.
Do campers participate in any swimming on or off campus?
We do not go on any field trips that require swimming or do any swimming on campus. We do however have water activities that will require a swimsuit and towel. We will denote these activities on the weekly schedule. A swim test must be passed to get into a pool.
How are campers transported on their fieldtrips?
Indian Springs School provides us with their buses and licensed bus drivers to ensure the safety of each of our campers.
